Private Pay / No Insurance
Because we accept Medicare, it is mandatory that we bill your claim directly to them. When Medicare determines the allowable charge, we will then bill you for any remaining balance due. This balance is determined by your plan. Federal law requires us to bill for all monies due.
If you have a secondary insurance plan and you wish for us to bill them, please make sure we have all necessary information to do so. Remember, we must also be contracted with them.
HMO /PPO ENROLLS
Each plan holds their own special contract, and each plan has many different networks in which they operate within. If you have questions on what your plan may or may not cover, you will need to contact your insurance company directly. It is impossible for us to know what each and every plan covers. It is the ultimate responsibility of the patient to understand his / her contract.
All co pays are also determined by your plan. These payments are expected at the time of your visit. In addition, we will bill out all other charges to your insurance company first. They will determine the allowable amount and any additional patient responsibilities, such as any deductibles.
Some insurance companies can take up to six months to finalize any billing issues. Once we receive notification from them regarding any amounts due, we will then send you a statement. No more than three statements will be mailed to you. If you don’t respond or make arrangements within 30 days of your final statement, your account will be sent to collections and medical treatment will no longer be provided to you.
